70th Birthday Bash....and Papa's Birthday!

A few weekends ago we had a 70th birthday bash! It is tradition in my grandma's family to have a 7oth birthday party when her siblings turn that age! Well this year it was her turn and my Aunt Marilyns (My grandmas sister-in-law) so we had a big family party at her house on Sunday! We had a ton of food, Chelsea and I made a cake but we didn't like how it turned out so we didn't take any pictures but everyone said it was good, so I guess that is all that matters! It was so good to see alot of my family that we don't get to see a whole lot! All of my Grandma's siblings were there except for two! So Happy Birthday Flower! She is such a strong woman (she has to be to put up with my grandpa! ha ha) and I look up to her and the things she has accomplished in her life and how she takes care of my grandpa everyday! She is my Hero! I Love ya!

My Grandma and Marilyn! And the Second Picture is me and My cousin Rosemary! I love that girl!

My Dad, My Uncle Cato, and My Uncle Kim, and Molly the dog. lol

My Cousin Zach, and Jakob

Dad, Cato, Kim, Zach, Jacquie, and Dustin! Doug and Becky, Diane and Leon, Flower, Papa, my Dad, Cato, my Mom, and dexter!
Hazel Is so Cute, She loved my grandpa, she could have sat there all day and he was so good to let her sit there and he would make faces at her it was the cutest thing!
Also, Today is my Grandpa's Birthday! We Called and Sang to him since we can't be down there for another week or so! This Man is a Fighter, he has fought to do and have the things he wants his whole life! After his Stroke he lost all movement in his one arm and has to walk with a one handed walker and he has very little speech! But that doesn't stop him from trying to do whatever he wants! He sneaks away from my Grandma all the time! lol But the thing I admire the most about him...He never complains about having to hold my grandma's purse! Ha ha for as long as I can remember he has always held it for her! Now that is a real man! LOL Happy Birthday Papa. Love Ya!

Vegas, Jakob's B-day, Easter!!!

A few weeks ago we had the chance to go to Vegas for a few days for Mopars at the strip! We headed out Thursday and stayed in Mesquite and then we headed to vegas for the rest of the weekend! Mopars at the Strip is a huge car show, drag races, swap meet, and concert! It is an all Dodge show for those of you that don't know cars! lol My mom and Chelsea and I help out at registering the cars for the show on Friday and Saturday and then we get to go watch the races! My Uncle Clayton Races the "K" Car and he did pretty well in his class this year! Also, we were able to meet Chip Foose from Overhaulin and one of the guys from Muscle Car! Chip was actually pretty friendly and took the time to talk and get pictures! Zac's family also made the trip this year and his Grandpa and his wife Dina flew in from Kentucky and so we all went to Jimmy Buffets magaritaville and had dinner friday night! Saturday we helped out at the show, went to the races for awhile and then My mom and Chelsea and I went shopping at the Outlet malls! We then went to dinner at a really good BBQ place with everyone and then my grandma and grandpa and Larry and delina went to bed and the rest of us went to the Cannery for a Oldies concert! The band was made up of former members from Journey, Steppen Wolf, Lynard Skynard, Toto and I think a few more! Chelsea and I got the party started.....we got there late so we went up to the front and started dancing as close to the stage as we could get and the guy from Steppen Wolf came and Played his guitar to us and then all the sudden everyone swarmed the stage! After that the Guy from Lynard Skynard also came and played to us! It was so much fun! Then some crazy lady came and crowded me and my mom and Chelsea and Aunt Kas out so me and Chelsea decided to get closer and they had a barrier between the stage and the seats and Chelsea and I climbed in there and were there for about twenty minutes before they kicked us out! They guy from Steppen wolf also gave me and my mom and Chelsea Guitar Picks! It was sooo much fun! We didn't go to the races sunday it was too cold and windy so we decided to just head home! It was 80 degrees Friday and Saturday it was sooo nice and then we had to come back to snow! I can't wait till next year!

We also had a great Easter Weekend! We got home around ten friday night and then Me and Chelsea went and worked for my mom saturday! Then we went to price and had lunch and got some groceries! Then Jakob and Chelsea and I went to Flower and Papa's and visited for an hour or so and then I went to dinner and Fast and Furious with Zac and his Parents and then we stayed in Castledale that night and had breakfast with Kay and Robert this morning and then we had easter dinner at my Parents house today! 1st Attempt At Cake Making

So Chelsea and I watch all the shows on making cakes! We decided we want to get into the business and we thought for sure that we could do it! So my Grandma's 70th birthday is coming up in a few weeks and we wanted to make a sweet cake for the big bash we are having....but since we have never made one we thought we better make an attempt! So...that is exactly what we did today! It has it's blemishes but it turned out pretty darn good for our first attempt! Zac even got in on the decorating part and helped us out! We did a big round layer of Chocolate and yellow cake and a small layer of Chocolate and yellow cake! It was very time consuming but it was worth it in the end! We don't want it laying around our house so we are going to take it to work tomorrow and let all the boys eat it! lol

The fondont was really rich, but it tasted pretty darn good! We were so proud of ourselves ha ha we were jumping all around at the finished product! Zac was looking at us like we were psycho's from another planet! O well! It's not perfect but we will get better so look for our business in the future months or maybe years to come! lol

First Anniversary!!!

So this last weekend, Zac and I celebrated our first anniversary! I cannot believe that it has been one year already! It seems like just yesterday we were trying to get everything done for the wedding! We went down to Salt Lake and stayed the night, we got to go to Red Lobster for dinner which we were both so so excited about! We then went down to the Clark Planetarium and seen the under the sea 3D show, and got ice cream and then called it a night! I have lost both my camera's and so we didn't get any pictures, so I will just post some from the wedding! I love Zac so so much and can't wait to celebrate many more Anniversary's with him!

"GREASE"

Okay this is kind of a random post for me, but hopefully it brings back some memories for some of my friends lol! I was sitting here watching Grease on TV today and it took me back to the summer before we went to highschool! I remember when we went to Europe and we were so excited to get home so we could watch Grease! I swear we watched that Movie at least twice a week that summer! It was at the beginning when they are singing the summer loving song and it is just about to the end and Danny is all like "OOHHH" in this sexy voice! lol I swear we would rewind and watch that part at least five times! lol What a great Memory.Grease is one of my all time favorite movies, it is for sure on my top five!

Valentines

This Valentines turned out to be very good, considering I had to work all day Saturday! We decided not to go out and not spend too much since our first Anniversary is next month! So I got home from work and we cooked Sweet and Sour Chicken and Ham fried rice! This recipe is amazing if anyone is interested! We then just hung out and watched Must Love Dogs! Zac got me Mary Poppins which is my all time favorite Disney Movie and a bag of Chocolates and a dozen red roses! And he got Blood Diamonds the Movie, A Napolean Dynamite game for the DS and a Jar full of Candy!

On another Note, this is very pass due....but, We found out in December that Zac passed his Fundementals of Engineering Exam and I just wanted to tell him Congratulations and let him know I am very proud of him! This Exam was on a Saturday and was 8 hours long! Basically since he passed he is on his way to being a Engineer. He just has to finish this semester and next! Yea!

One year ago today!

It has been one year ago today since my brother Jakob's accident/explosion! He was unthawing a valve on a water truck that brings in waste water off of the oil wells and methane had built up in there and when he put the propane torch to it it exploded in his face! He was thrown about thirty feet back and broke his neck, fractured his skull, broke his cheek bones and eye sockets and he had third degree burns on his face, neck, and arms! He was taken by ambulance to the University of Utah because it was snowing so bad they couldn't get life flight, they shut the canyon down right after the ambulance and my mom and sister went through, the storm was horrible through the whole state that day they also shut the canyons down in Logan and Zac and I were not able to go down till the next morning! Surprisingly he was only in the hospital for two weeks, the doctors were expecting him to be there for at least a month! He made a very miraculous recovery and we are so very thankful that he is alive and with us today! That was probably the two hardest weeks of my families lives! I just wanted to say thank you to all of our family and friends who prayed, called, visited, sent food to the hospital and our house, and those men that gave my brother many blessings at the scene of the accident and while at the hospital I know that is the reason he is alive today! I can't imagine my life without Jakob here! Ya we don't always get along ha ha but I love you and I am so thankful that you are here with us today! So thank you to all of our Friends and Family... from my whole family!
