HELLO November...

What have we been up too? Well not a whole heck of a lot! October pretty much came and went with us! Zac is doing homework out the Wazoo trying to finish up his last semester...yes you heard that right he is graduating with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1 month! Where has the last two and a half years gone? We are now just waiting to hear back on the 60 + jobs that Zac has applied for! Come on Economy pick up already!!! ;) Me I am just working....I got a raise and kind of a promotion I guess you could say! I am now Lead Counter Pro and I am just one step down from Assistant manager! I now work 1-2 saturdays a month and I am in charge on those Saturdays! It is kind of stressful, but kind of gratifying that my Boss and the assistant manager feel that I am able to do this! Selling car parts in a man's industry is kind of hard sometimes, its not like my Grandma's Carquest where women have ran the store for years and years and its not in a small town! But I am making the best of it and this last week I beat my boss and the assistant manager in sales twice! Yea for me! We went home in the middle of October for Zac's fall break I took a few extra days off, since we hadnt' been home in over 2 months! While there Chelsea and I made a blanket for our friend Shane who worked with us at Carquest and was deployed to Afghanistan in March! He is doing great and for the most part he has been in a pretty safe area! This isn't the greatest picture but it will do! We made it army themed since he is in the Army Reserves! I also took a beaded watch band making class with Kay and I have been making them ever since! I am thinking of setting up a web page and selling them...let me know how many of you would be interested in them! I am thinking about selling the bands for around 15 dollars a piece and watch faces at 12 dollars a piece! Not real sure on pricing yet but when I get the website up I will let you know! Here are some of the one's that I have made! These aren't the greatest pics because they are from my phone cause I can't find batteries for my camera! But you get the picture!
Also, while we were home over fall break my dad decided to take a ride in the Ambulance...Sunday morning we were cleaning up my moms house and I had taken something upstairs and while I was up there my phone rang...I answered to a panic grandmother telling me we needed to get to her house now that my dad was hurt and she didn't know what happend and the Ambulance was on the way...well I thought she was just panicked and meant my grandpa was hurt...so my mom was taking her time finding a shirt and she decided to try my dads cell phone to see what was going on and my grandma answered and my mom was like where is Kurt and she was like he is on the ground hurt! Well we followed the ambulance to lawrence and sure enough my dad was on the ground! We spent the rest of the day at the hospital...they thought he was having a heart attack but ruled that out and then they thought maybe he was passing a blood clot through his lung but they ruled that out so we aren't really sure what happened! He was Cleaning out the horse trailer from hauling cows off the Mountain and My grandma had helped my grandpa out there to hang with my dad and she was sitting him in the truck, then she was going to get him a chair when she heard Molly the dog crying so she walked around the back to the horse trailer and found my dad face down in the dirt! He doesn't remeber anything till he got to ridge road in price and realized he was in the ambulance! We think either Low blood pressure or Methane poisoining from the cow crap! I am just so thankful for Man's best friend! this dog is so good and this isn't the first time she has helped when someone is hurt! My grandpa fell down one day and she sat at his side til someone came and made sure he was okay... she is so protective of my grandpa! It is amazing the things animals can do for us! So that was our excitement for the month! We also Carved pumpkins and sat home for Halloween! I wanted to get all dressed up and do something but we didn't have anything to do! :(

Oh ya almost forgot one thing...my brother in-law Chad decided to get engaged in October also! He is Marrying Kennilee reid from Orangeville and they are getting married in January, Congrats to them! We are excited to have another girl in the family! Now we are just waiting around for Thanksgiving to come! I am super excited to go home again for a few extra days! Zac applied for a Job with Bucyrus in Huntington, about one of the only one's we have found close to home so everyone pray that he gets an interview and I will keep you posted on that! Sorry for such a long post I guess I did have more going on in October than I thought! :)
